grasshopperairplane

Our reissue of a nearly-forgotten 1981 film soundtrack.

Claude Glasse’s grasshopperairplane respectfully nods to to the riveting early days of aviation and technological history in general: the tense relationships of man and machine, the unshakable desire to venture further and further into unknown horizons, and the passionate photo-finish sprints of scientific progression. But, the composer refuses to be stuck in just the sounds and events of this past. Instead, Glasse looks in turn toward the flights of the future--the gravitational pull of far-off orbital bodies buried just beyond our sight in the snowdrift fabrics of eternity.
